IEEE 2008), June 2008, Hong Kong.

The aim of this special session is to present top quality research in the area of theory and applications of type-2 fuzzy logic. The session will also provide a forum for the academic community and industry to report on the recent advances on the type-2 fuzzy logic theory and applications in the various domains of type-2 fuzzy logic.

Topics include, but are not limited by:

Type-2 Theoretical Aspects

Representations of type-2 fuzzy sets

Inferencing

Relations

Type-reduction

Defuzzification

Knowledge Representation

Relationships to Rough sets

Relationships to Intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Type-2 Applications

Robotics

Decision Making

Classification

Modelling

Computing with words

Any other application area that deploys type-2 fuzzy logic

The papers have to follow the submission guidelines for FUZZ-IEEE 2008 available at http://www.wcci2008.org/submission.htm and authors need to select the session name (FS01) as their main topic when submitting their papers.

IEEE-CIS Host Type-2 Standard

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society are hosting the "standard" material for type-2 interval fuzzy logic:
This standard consists of background material about interval type-2 fuzzy sets, interval type-2 fuzzy logic systems (IT2 FLSs), type-reduction and defuzzification in an IT2 FLS, and an IT2 FLS that does not use type-reduction. We give all authors permission to use any or all of this material in their articles, as long as they reference this standard.
This material can be found at http://ieee-cis.org/standards/ and is mirrored at http://www.type2fuzzylogic.org/standard/
